The implant SMART TOE® has been developed by a group of specialised surgeons, who were not satisfied by the pin arthrodesis technique.
The SMART TOE® is an implant with an original design which will anchor itself into the bone because of its ability for shape memory. This anchoring will ensure the stability of the implant which is necessary for aesthetic and functional results of the arthrodesis, and for the diminishing of pain and oedema.
As opposed to pins, the SMART TOE® means :
